Pre-Scheduling Posts, Calvin Klein Discontinues Size 0 models

Hello Lovelies,

Now... this might seem strange, as I don't know the habits of other bloggers, but I used to write each of my posts fresh every day, thus in the first year of this blog there were weeks and even months that went by without my posting.... then as spring rolled around I developed the habit of writing several blog posts at one time and pre-scheduling them to publish at a later date...

So, I'm proud to say lovelies that in the first few days of April I pre-scheduled a months worth of posts, now not all of those posts were fully written or finished, but the idea was at least there and ready to be published. This schedule is flexible, so if something urgent or fun came up I would simply move a scheduled post to a later date.... I was so excited to share my ideas with you, I excitedly waited for each post to publish and couldn't wait to see what you had to say about them... it made every day sort of a waiting game for the next day's post!

This screen shot was captured on April 9th and I can't tell you what a great sense of accomplishment I felt to have all of the writing done ahead of time... Now as I'm looking into May, I was wondering is there any particular kind of content you like more than another? Do you prefer when I post about myself and what I'm doing? Do you prefer when I post about interior design? Or my faith? Or entertainment? Or fun stuff to buy? What would you like to see me write about for the next month?

Ya'll have heard me rant and rave about how tired I am of being force fed this ideal that to be beautiful you must be a size 0 or 00... so imagine how tickled I was when I read earlier this week that Calvin Klein will no longer be using models sized 0 and smaller. Granted a 5'10" woman who is a size 2 is still much to thin for her body part, but I do believe this is a step in the right direction! The face of their new ad campaign is rumored to be size 4 model Lara Stone.

I don't know about ya'll, but I certainly think she's absolutely stunning! She did a fabulous interview with British Vogue (here) talking about how although nobody called her fat, because she is a woman and has breasts a lot of designers wouldn't put her on the runway in their clothes... now seriously ya'll? In what world is a woman, with breasts, considered not the ideal body type... seriously... did ya'll think that through? Because of all of the rejection and everyone talking about her as the fat one, she's undergone several weight crisis' of her own... so I'm tickled to hear that Calvin Klein is signing her on just as she is... curves and all!

Now, I fully realize I am no Lara Stone (for heaven's sake the girl is 5'10" and a size 4!), but it's time for What Preppy Wore!

She is an absolutely gorgeous model! Thank goodness CK is trying to support the campaign for real natural beauty, very refreshing! YAY for models that actually have curves and breasts! xoxo Happy weekend lovely girl!

I agree, yay for curves! Lara is gorgeous, remember the days of Cindy Crawford? Curves, for sure! Then Kate Moss came along and everything got flat. But then Gisele came, yay, and now Lara! Good for CK!

I'm glad they're choosing new models! it's so sickening to think of lara being called fat- she IS curvy. one thing that bothers me is women who are overweight (and unhealthy) calling themselves curvy- unhealthy is not pretty! however, i don't think it's fair to say that a woman can't be a size 2, 5'10", and healthy, as I am all of those things!

Ahhh, Bellini's are my absolute favorite!!! Margaritas area close second, but I try not to drink either too often.

Good for you, scheduling your posts! I'm not quite as organized as you, but I write my post the day before and schedule it for the next day.

Hope your weekend is fabulous!

I don't think I could blog without scheduled posts. Makes things so easy!
