I have to admit yesterday was the first day of the what preppy wore challenge, where I felt like I didn't know what to wear. Generally speaking, I'm not one to put a whole lot of thought into what I wear. I really try to only buy items that I love, so when looking into my closet and trying to decide what to wear I'll love anything I pick without having to give it much thought. That does however, lead to me wearing my favorite items over, and over, and over again, and leaving other less favored items to get lost in the back of the closet. Yesterday morning, I was running through my closet in my mind, trying to think of an outfit that matched this pair of shoes... you see although the initial challenge was to wear a different outfit everyday I also thought it might be fun to wear a different pair of shoes for as long as I could. I'm down to my last five or six, and it's getting harder and harder to think through outfits to wear with my shoes. I have clothes to wear with these last six pairs of shoes... they just weren't any of the clothes I wanted to wear yesterday if that makes sense.
Anyway, after laying in bed thinking it through for way too long I ended up pulling this tank top from Old Navy out of my closet. When I bought this tank top I loved it so much I bought it in three colors, this gray pattern, the same pattern in pink, and then a plain cream version. Then somewhere along the lines I decided I didn't like any of the three tank tops because they made me look fat... this morning however, I fell back in love with this tank top and can't wait to figure out what to pair the pink one with.
Do ya'll ever do this? Struggle to decide what to wear? Get bored in your closet? Convince yourself that you hate something you own, only to try it on again for the first time in months and realize that you were just kidding it's actually stinkin' adorable? No... just me then... huh... I always thought I was a little bit 'different.' :)
