Another new blog feature I'm thinking of tossing around is a throwback movie day... there are those movies that we love... we just absolutely love them. Even years after they are popular for some reason they remain etched on our consciousness. It could be great cinematography, or great costumes, or a great actor/actress, a great screenplay any number of reasons... but somehow we're drawn to these films. These are the movies that I can walk into a room and hear them playing in the background and know exactly what scene the movie is on, and most of the time quote the next few lines right along with the actors and actresses... (and I hate to say it but this list will probably show my age... there will be movies that are classics that I've never seen -Pretty in Pink is a good example... I was far too young to really appreciate that movie... my older sister however, can probably quote every line!) Some of these films will be undeniable classics that hold an honored place on AFI's top 100 movies of all time, and some of these films are just my personal favorites.
For June's throwback movie we're starting with an undeniable classic... Looking at the pictures I can hear the scenes playing out!

Me too, I love the book much better though!
Two of my favorite quotes:
One by Scarlett:
I can't think about that right now. If I do, I'll go crazy. I'll think about that tomorrow.
and One by Rhett:
With enough courage, you can do without a reputation.
Love you missy maam'
My word verification was lovesista.
How cool is that?
SUCH a great movie! I'm not old enough to appreciate the whole Brat Pack range of movies, either, but I have seen a few of them. Some other favorites are "The Wizard of Oz", "The Princess Bride", and all sorts of Alfred Hitchcock movies :-)
