Waiting for real life to begin...

Hello Lovelies,

As the second day of orientation begins, I find that I want to remind myself to soak up every minute. I know that I have been very guilty of the thinking exposed in the quote below... waiting for this moment to be over so that my 'real' life could begin. I feel like I've been given a second chance to enjoy university life, to participate in things I had to pass up the first time around, and most of all to create fabulous new memories in California. At times it seemed like all the years that passed between my first medical school application and my medical school acceptance were just getting in the way. I wanted to hurry up and be accepted and finally, truly be on my way to being a doctor. Looking back now I'm thankful for each of those years. For the parts of me that developed through those experiences, and for the memories I've made in wonderful places along the way. So cheers lovelies, to a new adventure and to embracing this present moment for exactly what it is, my "real" life!

WOW - your quotes are really speaking to me this week. Do savor every moment - I feel like I don't even remember half of law school because of all the stress, and yet, I made some lifelong friends there. Good luck honey!
