The Victoria and Albert Museum has recently released their second book of images from their vast and stunning textiles and patterns archives... as I have a deep love of gorgeous fabric and fabulous wall paper I thought I would share some of my favorite images with you! You can purchase the book both parts I and II from the Victoria and Albert Museum website.
The Iolanthe, Wallpaper 1897
Cactus, Wallpaper 1887-1900
Memphis, Wallpaper 1887-1900
Map of Paris, Dress Fabric 1927 - I think it would absolutely fab to have a section of this fabric mounted and framed!
Matelot, Dress Fabric 1934
From Plans, Elevations, Sections and Details of the Alhambra, Plate 29, Lithograph 1845 - I found this lithograph to be very 50's -60's ish, and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was from a century before that!
Wallpaper, 1860
Overall, there are so many fabulous patterns in this book, and I was really amazed at how many of them felt so relevant to our time... it's a good reminder, that great design never goes out of style!

I hope everything is OK with school. I've been such a bad blogger lately and not keeping up-to-date, so I hope that you're surviving!
