Today is my last day of work... I thought this day would never get here... and seriously have thought about calling it quits before now lots and lots over the past few weeks. But, I've made it! Phew!
This is the end of one career and the beginning of an educational journey to the career I've dreamed of having since I was a little girl, and I am oh so ready to start!
In the meantime though it's time to celebrate! Tonight is my last happy hour with my darling girls and our going away party hosted by some dear friends in Austin is tomorrow. As excited as I am to live it up with our darling friends... I'm also kind of bummed because this will be the last time we will see many of them! I'm looking forward to relishing in the joy and comfort of our close friendships and to capturing many, many memories of tonight!
While we're talking about gloriously fun things the ever fab Katie Armour of Neotraditionalist recently introduced me to the newly founded Rue online magazine... I'll be stalking the website to see the inaugural issue in September!
In the meantime to all of my new followers a big welcome, and to all those of you who have been regular readers I must apologize for my apparent absence from your blogs as of late... I am reading I promise, but right now we are only a few short days away from loading everything onto the moving truck and heading off to the west coast. There are so many friends to visit, so many loose ends to tie up and so much joy and sadness that right now I just haven't made commenting a priority. I value each of you and would hate for you to think that I've lost interest... I am still reading, but may be a little light on the commenting for the next month or so as we get settled into our new home and as I start medical school. Please know that I am always available via email and I am so thankful for the many ways in which each of you supports me!
